We’ve worked with Saint Louis University for a long time. So when they came to us with a plan to renovate and open a 51-room boutique hotel, we knew we had to make it a truly unique experience. The SLU team challenged us to immerse visitors in the culture of the Grand Center Arts District—creating a design that brought together the themes of fine art, performing arts, architecture and music.
We love a good challenge. So we worked closely with our design partner to bring these four artistic themes together in everything from overall room design, down to the smallest detail. Custom casegoods and details—such as door pulls in the shape of an abstract flute, and headboards with abstract photos of instruments—along with musical accessories combine to create a high-class boutique feel. The hotel remains a unique attraction and has received national recognition.
